The Love of Christ Constrains Me

2 Corinthians 5:14-16 (KJV)
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Father, God
How incompetent we are in our own ability. How ignorant we are in our own wisdom.
How weak we are in our own strength. But even as we see this Father we confess
that in and through Christ we can do all things that you have called us to do.
Even that thing which we have said in our heart is impossible, Lord thank You that even
as Your Love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit it constrains us to judge correctly
and not to know ourselves or our brothers and sisters with natural eyes.     Amen

It is the Love of Christ that is the only basis of an obedience that is acceptable and pleasing
to the Father. Except that love be our primary motivation then we are not walking in the Spirit.
Many walk in fear of a woodshed experience but this is not a place to remain. It is the Love
of Christ that brings every thought captive. It is this love that lifts us and transports us into
the Kingdom…into who we are in Him…sons…a bride…overcomer's. If I allow this love to
apprehend me... I might be able to see the one inside of you…the real you that’s crying out to
be made one with The Lord and be joined to His body with cords of love that can’t be broken!
We are joined together with this love for one purpose. That there might be a revelation of Him
as the Head of a many membered body. Each member as a branch joined to The Vine.
Each member as a joint of supply. As faith lays hold of the finished work of the Cross then
it begins to be our experience. When one died all died...henceforth we are known not after
the flesh. We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy of our faith. He would keep us
in a carnal realm of natural knowledge where he can sow seeds of discord and separate us.
It is the Love of Christ that brings every thought captive to the reality of the Cross.
Love the Lord with all your heart and soul…Love your brothers and sisters as yourself.
It is only when we take our eyes off ourselves and our brethren and put them on the Lord
the reality of the Cross becomes our experience. The Kingdom of God is righteousness
peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Just Wait

Waiting on the Lord, to me, is this:  waiting quietly in anticipation.  I’m looking at a door that’s closed, and I’m expecting at any moment that door is going to open up and Someone is going to walk through.  That’s manifest presence.  I’m going from the fact of the Lord’s presence into His manifested presence.  Waiting, to me, is anticipation that the Lord is going to walk into my life.  He’s going to begin to operate, move and speak.  Usually, no matter how long I wait, whether it’s ten minutes or ten hours, and how often I do it, but we’ll say over the period of a week or two, I’ll guarantee, at the end of that time, I will feel like I’ve wasted my time.

But I’ll make one more statement.  And this is a powerful, wonderful statement.  Even though I feel like I’ve wasted my time, everything in my life will be different.  Things will start to happen (when we wait on God).  Things that would have gone wrong will go right.  They’ll be a favor of God resting upon me that would not have been there otherwise.

It’s not that I’m waiting and will get all kinds of revelation and visions and things.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh.  That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  There’s a deeper working of the Spirit within me that will manifest through the outworking of my life.  That will come later, down the road, and very few understand this.

Isaiah 40:31King James Version (KJV)

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Sons To Glory

Romans 8:29(KJV) For whom he did foreknow,
he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

There is something more. Far beyond having heaven as our home. We have been made partakers of a "divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4) so that as we make our decisions for the Lord something miraculous happens and we begin in some measure (30, 60, 100 fold) to reflect the character of Our Lord......until Christ be formed in you (Gal 4:19). Its not a life changed but a life exchanged. From "Glory to Glory", "Strength to Strength" and from "Faith to Faith". Its the "high calling" in Christ. A high plain of spiritual integrity...." ...its no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me..." (Gal 2:20) Only The Cross makes this possible...When Christ died we died (Rom 6:8)...only the life of the Son can please the Father....heaven will not be a place of mixture only measure.

Hebrews 2:10 (KJV)
For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory,   to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Right Now

The most important time for us in all of eternity is “right now.” We are making choices and decisions today that will affect our eternal position and reward. Eternal life is not future; we have that now as part of our redemption. “Where” we will be is a settled fact.

What” we will be in eternity will be the result of the accumulated choices and decisions that we are making now, in our daily life experiences. Our “new creation life” is as a “seed” that has been deposited within us, which is being formulated and developed into completeness. When eventually it is released into the “soil” of eternity, it will unfold, revealing the full manifestation of what it had become during our present life experience.

The Comforter - The Spirit of Truth

“But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.”  John 14:26

“And when the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me.”  John 15:26

The focal point of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to bring to remembrance and teach the Church all that Jesus said, and to bear witness to His Word.  All this is directed toward establishing a mature Church ( The Overcomer ), which is the Body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head.

“And when that One comes, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment.”  John 16:8

The mission of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of sin that they might repent and be saved; not to condemn the world.  This is being accomplished by the Church, as they present the “good news.”

The Holy Spirit also convicts of righteousness.  The one who is convicted of sin and repents becomes an empty vessel, which needs to be filled with the righteousness of God.  Then finally, He convicts the world of judgment, which is a preparation for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Names of God

Hold each of these names before The Lord in your personal time of Devotion and carry them in your heart, moment by moment each day and over time The Lord will make each of them a personal reality.

Light Giver

"giveth light"
occurs in 2 verses in the KJV.
Tools specific to Psa 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Tools specific to Mat 5:15
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

If you find yourself in a dark place, then the attitude of your heart must be not only surrender in will, but a willingness to be broken in spirit. This is so pleasing to the Lord. As we break in spirit we lose our “setness” and become pliable, flowing easily into the most intricate circumstance that He has brought about in our life. Here we are truly able to say, “I delight to do thy will, O God.” Our Lord has a purpose for the circumstance that we find ourselves in. He is producing within us a broken, yielded spirit to prepare us for a higher kingdom purpose. A surrendered will is one thing, and a broken spirit is another. The surrender of our will is a basic, underlying principle in the life of a consecrated Christian, and is the foundation upon which the Lord works. This surrender of our will is giving the Lord permission to order the circumstances of our life as He pleases. As we continue to say “yes,” He begins to put in motion a thousand circumstances both big and small to test our reaction in will and spirit. This He must do in order to produce within us a yielded, broken spirit. There is always the tendency for us to seek the easy way. We dislike disturbances and having to do things differently from the way we did in the past. It is only as we see Gods hand in our life circumstance that light enters into our hearts. Do not be surprised if the Lord brings you from a circumstance in which you have been blessed, perhaps for months or even years into some new place of dealings. He is very particular of your relationship to Him, He may refine you yet more as you are taken out of your comfort zone. To have a yielded will but and unbroken spirit is to simply endure the dealings while keeping the light hidden under the bushel (life circumstance). Even as you walk in darkness, I pray that the eyes of your understanding may be opened to His marvelous light which alone can bring you into Gods unique and eternal purpose for your life.

Present Attainment

Our “present attainment” of spiritual life and experience is the place to which we have been brought through Jesus Christ our Lord. All this is a preliminary training school for the ages yet to come. It is in the “here and now” that we make certain qualifications for our placement in the eternal ages. These qualifications will not be given to us spontaneously, when we get there. Rather, we are being qualified for them here, during this present time.

Then, in the eternal ages, that which has been acquired through discipline and training - through the surrender of our old life to the resurrection of the new - all of this will be projected upon another (higher) plane of living in the ages that are yet to come. Whatever we build up of spiritual value, vigor, and vision, during our lifetime - this is all that the Lord will take of us into eternity. Eternity will not be a place of mixture only measure...

Matthew 13:8 (The Living Bible)
But some fell on good soil and produced a crop that was
thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as he had planted.

Intervention

As God shines light in our heart it is a call for us to make ourselves available each morning
for something new, beyond that which we received the day before. It is a call to His body that
is responded to individually by each of us. Thank You Lord that there is so much you want to
impart this day! Here I am Lord waiting upon You. Thank You Lord for your intervention
in my life circumstance to bring me to a place of more fully trusting You this day.
There is this need we become aware of. We need the Lord to become active in our life.
To intervene and remain in an ever increasing measure. To so order our steps that we make
steady progress each day toward the High Calling in Christ. This is the only path to become
The Bride of Christ. The Son, The Overcomer, The Manchild. The many facets of spiritual
maturity. Far beyond everything I have seen and experienced in The Lord there remains this
need. There is more so much more each day that must be written upon our hearts as a message
that will unfold for all eternity to the Glory of the Lord.
