Synonyms

Ephesians 5:15-20 (KJV)

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of a circumspect walk. It happens when we have been touched by His life. Our eyes are opened and we see His hand in our life. We become aware that He is ordering our steps and the circumstances of our life and we dare not interrupt or interfere. The words that used to flow so freely from our lips are very guarded as He has set a watch over the door of our mouths. We dare not put into motion with our words anything that would hinder His purposes. We walk with a sense that the time is short and there is much to be accomplished so we must make all our choices for The Lord.

Romans 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Let this mind be in you....The mind of Christ...He is life and peace. We must be brought to a place that we hunger and thirst for this. To be filled with this Spirit we must allow the Lord to empty us. The Lord will not occupy the same heart space. If your eye is single your whole body will be full of light. (Mat 6:22-23)
