Wait a Minute

Acts Chapter 1:8 (KJV)
But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The word of God is a present word a living word a word that is ever unfolding.
Power is never a gift. It’s always AFTER…Waiting in the presence of the Lord

Isaiah 40:31(KJV)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…..Ye shall receive power after….
If I spend time waiting the power comes after. It is always the result of two things waiting and receiving.
I wait…I spend time…. I receive an impartation….into my being
In order to receive it my soul, the activity of my self-life has to be quieted.
I have to come to the end of my self.
Self doesn’t like that. The Law of Self is powerful.

Power is also a result of a process of testing and proving. The Lord will arrange a testing point.

Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne.

This speaks of authority and power…the overcomer is tested and proven again and again.
I believe we learn much more through our perceived failure and the suffering that it brings.
It is this working of The Cross that brings an end to our “self-Life”
It is the Life of The Son that causes us to choose the Lords will and progress spiritually.
In that victory is an impartation of power.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.

all things….even terrible things…mistakes…bad choices…..all things …….
through the eyes of this redemptive process we learn to choose for The Lord.
Our eyes are opened and we see the eternal value of partaking of His Life.

Mathew 11:12 (KJV)
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven
suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

The violence is getting the soul quiet. Casting aside every weight and pressing
in. It is spiritual warfare. There are many needful things in our life but in the end
only one thing will matter. Choose this day to wait upon the Lord.
Put your life in His hands.
