Philippians 3:13
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind
and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
"But one thing I do", forgetting, It is actually a creative gift of healing from The Lord. God
forgives and forgets. People sometimes forgive but seldom forget. If we have
really forgiven we have forgotten. If we have not forgotten we have not
forgiven. Forgiveness involves and includes forgetting. Forgetting the things that are where? Behind! We have to forgive "ourselves" as well as "others". That’s all the mistakes, problems, trials, the
things that have worked against us, the failures. The words received and the words given that have caused
harm. It is a heart forgiveness, birthed by the Spirit of God that
produces an "inner heart healing". It’s not only our bodies that need healing
but our hearts also. Because every day is a new day. When the blood of Jesus forgives
there is a forgetting. This is the foundation of reaching forward and becoming who we
are in The Lord and allowing all those in our lives to be liberated. It is an attitude of the heart that has known forgiveness
and brings every thought captive to that divine mandate of Gods
Spirit. If we walk in the light of this revelation then we have true fellowship with one
another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us.
