Pride

Within the Kingdom of God lies a concept that is easily overlooked yet is so profound. When this concept is the missing ingredient in the life of the believer then the shallow fruit produced will never remain. Even more importantly, a level of intimacy and trust with God will never be achieved. A characteristic we must strongly guard against allowing to enter our heart is “pride”.

James 4:6 (KJV)
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

God actually opposes us when we allow pride to enter our hearts. The only way to appropriate
the enabling Grace is to humble ourselves. May we allow the Lord to search our hearts and deal
with us by dividing our soul from our spirit that the meditations of our heart may be acceptable to Him.
May the light of His Glory shine into every area of our life that we might be made compatible with
His higher and eternal purpose for our lives.
